Robert W. Lewis was an associate judge on the Second Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. He was first appointed to the position in 2001 and was reappointed for a four-year term that began on July 1, 2011, set to expire on June 30, 2015.[1] Before his term ran out, Lewis retired on October 2, 2013.[2][3]

Education

Lewis graduated in 1967 from Benton High School. In 1971 he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and he received his J.D. with honors from the Florida State University College of Law in 1974.[3]

Career

After law school, Lewis founded a private practice in Benton and served as a special prosecutor in the late 1970's. He was appointed to the Second Judicial Circuit Court in 2001 and served there until his retirement on October 2, 2013.[3]
