Gallinat provided the following statement for the Deschutes County voter's pamphlet:

Voters in the Bend-La Pine School District have given me the honor of serving on the school board in years past and I am asking to continue. I’ve served when difficult cuts were made and when we’ve added back to the classroom. I’ve worked collaboratively with my colleagues, administration, certified and classified staff members along with students and parents to make thoughtful decisions in trying to provide the best educational opportunities for each of our students. A strong school system not only helps our students get a good start in becoming a thriving citizen upon graduating, but also helps our business community grow.

Spending tax payer dollars efficiently and as close to the classroom as possible is always a priority. My colleagues have supported me in being the vice-chair from 2009 to 2011 and chair from 2011 to 2013. Being a business owner, having two children who have gone from start to finish in the Bend-La Pine district and serving on other committees have also given me a wide range of experiences to keep working to serve our community in this important role.
