Campaign themes

2016

Rominger made the following statement to Ballotpedia regarding his political philosophy:[1]

My goal is to support initiatives that will benefit all Montana constituents, and do so through reaching across the aisle and fostering collaboration. I believe it is important to strengthen small businesses and encourage additional businesses, thus expanding our tax base, while also promoting common sense, sustainable social initiatives. As a long time educator, I strongly support public education, and as a farm partner I strongly support farming, ranching, and agriculture. It is also important to note that farming and ranching are the largest economic base here in Montana, and it is important to do everything we can to keep this base strong. Additional goals include supporting infrastructure, and as a psychologist I am particularly interested in supporting expanded access to mental health services for veterans and those in need. Finally, I support both research and development to make coal and natural gas cleaner fuels as well as expanding wind and solar farm development here in Montana. [2]
