The Republican presidential debate in Salt Lake City was cancelled on March 16, 2016.[1] Donald Trump announced on March 16 that he would not participate in the thirteenth Republican debate. He said, "I think we’ve had enough debates. I mean, how many times do you have to give the same answer to the same question?"[2] After Trump's announcement, a senior strategist for John Kasich's campaign said Kasich would only attend if Trump reversed his decision.[3]
