February 20, 2018: A total of 8 million Apple Watches were sold during the fourth quarter of 2017. That means Apple sold more watches than the entire Swiss watch industry.
For the full year, the Swiss watch industry outsold Apple by a margin of 24 million units to 18 million units. However, if the fourth quarter numbers are any indication, Apple may be the top selling watch in the world for the foreseeable future.[1]
