January 20, 2025: Twenty-two percent (22%) of voters say they knew Donald Trump’s inauguration is this week and will definitely watch at least some of it live. Prior research related to presidential debates suggests that this could be a reasonable estimate of the audience for today’s event.
Overall, the Napolitan News survey found that 73% of voters know the inauguration is scheduled for this week.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on January 14-15, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
