A Springville Union School District Bond Issue, Measure J ballot question was on the June 3, 2014 election ballot for voters in the Springville Union School District in Tulare County, California, where it was approved.
Measure J authorized the district to increase its debt by $4 million through issuing general obligation bonds in that amount in order to improve school facilities and technology. The measure qualified the district for an additional $2.2 million in state matching funds.[1]
A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for the approval of Measure J.

To improve the quality of education with funding that cannot be taken by the State; increase student access to computers and modern technology; modernize and upgrade classrooms, restrooms and school facilities; and make health and safety improvements; shall the Springville Union School District issue $4.0 million of bonds at legal rates, qualify the District for an additional $2.2 million in local State matching funds, have an independent citizens' oversight committee and have NO money used for administrator salaries?[2] |
