Stephen Smith was a 2014 candidate for the Berrien County Trial Court in Michigan.[1]

Smith ran for election to the Berrien County Trial Court.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 36 percent of the vote. He competed against Brian C. Sauer and Donna Bacolor Howard.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 47.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Donna Bacolor Howard. [1][2] 

Education

Smith received a bachelor's degree in government and economics from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.[3]

Career

At the time of his election, Smith had been practicing with the law firm of Troff, Petzke & Ammeson since 2007. He has worked for other private firms and also spent a year as an ethics attorney for the U.S. Department of Commerce.[3]
