Swiss Unemployment Law Change Referendum, 2010

A referendum concerning unemployment law changes was on the ballot in Switzerland on September 26, 2010. The measure asked voters whether or not to approve a law concerning unemployment benefits for the nation's citizens. The measure was approved by a vote of 53.4% to 46.6%.[1]

This election was the first time that Swiss citizens residing outside of the country were permitted to vote in a national election.[2]
