A Tahoe Truckee Unified School District bond proposition, Measure L ballot question was on the June 3, 2008 ballot for voters in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District in parts of Placer County and Nevada County, where it was defeated.

If Measure L had been approved, it would have authorized the school district to borrow $93,530,000.

A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for approval.

After the defeat of Measure L in June 2008, the Tahoe Truckee school board voted to put essentially the same request on the November 4, 2008 ballot with Measure U. Measure U was also defeated.

The question on the ballot:

Measure L: "To improve energy efficiency, replace portable classrooms, upgrade computer and instructional technology, expand career and vocational classrooms, meet seismic safety and snow load requirements, shall Facilities Improvement District No.1 of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District issue $93,530,000 of bonds at legal rates to renovate, acquire, construct, repair and equip Truckee area schools, sites and facilities, with required independent public financial audits, citizens’ oversight, no money for administrators’ salaries?"
