Talina Mathews
Talina Mathews was a member of the Kentucky Public Service Commission. She assumed office on July 3, 2017. She left office on August 15, 2021.
Mathews' term as commissioner expired on June 30, 2021, but she continued to serve until she began her new role at Southwest Power Pool on August 16, 2021.[1]
Biography
Before becoming a commissioner on the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC), Mathews was the director for member services and advocacy at the Organization of MISO States. Before that, Mathews was the director of the Department of Energy Generation, Transmission, and Distribution at the Kentucky Department of Energy Development and Independence. Her career experience also includes serving as special assistant for policy at the Kentucky Public Service Commission and as assistant director of the Kentucky Department of Energy Development and Independence. Mathews also served as executive director of the Governor's Office of Energy Policy from 2006 to 2008.[2]
Mathews received a B.A. and an M.A. in economics from Berea College and a Ph.D in economics from the University of Kentucky.[2]

Mathews was appointed to a seat on the Kentucky Public Service Commission on July 3, 2017 by Gov. Matt Bevin (R).[2]
Mathews' term expired on June 30, 2021. She continued to serve until she began her new role at Southwest Power Pool on August 16, 2021.[1]
