He professionally focuses on empowering entrepreneurs and their leadership teams to take control of their business so they can have extraordinary businesses and lives. He works with clients both domestically and internationally to implement proven business operating systems and processes to increase business efficiency, growth, and bottom-line results.

He's also spent several years in the hospitality management sector at various resort locations.

One area of professional focus for Tim is green building and water responsible development. He is credentialed as a LEED Green Associate and been active nationally in a variety of related organizations and initiatives. He is a strong advocate for protecting limited natural resources and works to share the message that business can benefit themselves, their teams, and their communities by focusing on the triple bottom line: people, planet and profit!

Tim is committed to serving the community with a particular interest in creating opportunities for social justice, equality, and environmental responsibility.

  • Alive Communities–It’s important that we work to maintain a high quality of life in our community! I believe that a wide range of factors contribute to the well-being of our residents, including access to education and job opportunities, affordable housing, safe and walkable neighborhoods, and a range of recreational and cultural amenities. We also need to strengthen the availability of basic services such as healthcare and transportation, environmental quality, and a sense of community engagement. I will prioritize a holistic approach to community livability that encompasses the physical, social, economic, and environmental factors that make our community a great place, with the goal of improving the quality of life for all residents.
  • Thoughtful Development–My background in green building gives me a unique perspective on development. I’ve learned that responsible development needs to consider the social, economic, and environmental impacts of a project to ensure that it is sustainable and benefits all stakeholders. Environmental considerations are a key aspect of responsible development, as they ensure that the project does not cause harm to the natural environment or contribute to water scarcity. I will work to improve our land use and building codes and processes to include the consideration of the long-term sustainability of projects and minimizing the use of natural resources, reducing pollution and waste, and protecting our limited water availability.
  • Inclusive Government Accountability–For government to be accountable, it must be accessible to the citizens it serves. I have no doubt that government officials and institutions have an obligation to be accountable to the public for their actions and decisions. Our city government needs to be open and transparent in their actions and decision-making processes, and citizens should have the opportunity to participate in the political process and hold their representatives accountable. I will work to ensure that government services and information are available and accessible to all citizens, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Community Question Featured local question
I am impressed with the evolution of the Water Street District over the past ten years. It is an excellent example of public/private partnership, shared vision, and strategic investment. Downtowns represent the image and character of a city to the rest of the world. A healthy downtown includes a diverse mix of great dining, shopping, professional offices, arts and culture, and recreation and entertainment attractions that bring local residents and visitors together.

Community Question Featured local question
We all deserve to feel safe in our homes, workplaces, schools, and public spaces! I believe that comprehensive public safety includes more than traditional law enforcement activities such as policing and crime prevention, but also disaster preparedness and response, emergency management, common sense gun regulation, and community-based programs that address issues such as poverty, mental health, and substance abuse. Public safety is a multidimensional concept involving the active participation and collaboration of many stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, businesses, and individual citizens. I will work to not only support our first responder workforce, but also to create a shared understanding of safety in our community and to involve members of the community in the development and implementation of comprehensive public safety initiatives.
Community Question Featured local question
One of the most impressive frameworks I have seen for setting priorities that reflect community values and goals is the Community Heart & Soul organization. This resident-driven process engages the entire population of a town in identifying what they love most about their community, what future they want for it, and how to achieve it.
Community Question Featured local question
We all know that Henderson and Southern Nevada have serious water issues. We also know that real solutions require the involvement and investment of multiple stakeholders. While we can solve water scarcity at the city government level, we can have a significant influence on the issue when we partner with county and state governments, businesses, non-profits, developers, academics, and other entities to identify proven solutions.
Community Question Featured local question
Our city council is responsible for managing the financial resources of our city and making decisions that will benefit the community. This requires careful analysis and judgement to ensure that the limited resources available are being used in the most effective and efficient way possible. We need to create a sustainable financial future by making investments that will generate revenue or save money in the long-term. I will use the wisdom from my years of experience in business – and particularly in business optimization, turn around, and efficiency – to ensure our council makes sound financial decisions in a transparent manner that earns trust for how public funds are being used.
I am most passionate about the six primary priorities for Henderson included in my ACTION agenda: Alive communities, Comprehensive public safety, Thoughtful development, Inclusive government accountability, Opportunity for all, and Needed fiscal responsibility.
The qualities I possess which will make me a successful member of the city council are strong communication and leadership skills, problem-solving ability, flexibility, a strong work ethic, empathy, strategic thinking, and collaborative skills.
The core responsibilities of a city council member are to represent their constituents, set policy direction for the city, and engage with the community to promote the overall well-being and prosperity of the city and its residents.
I hadn’t thought about this for years. When I was in the first grade, I remember Gerald Ford being sworn-in as President and for some reason, I was obsessed. I specifically remember wanting to call him to offer my congratulations and my failed attempt to style my hair so it looked like his. My mom’s attempt to explain that he only wore his hair that way as he was old and it was thinning was beyond comprehension to my 6-year-old mind.

It’s difficult for me to choose one book as my favorite as I very much enjoy reading and can often say that my favorite book at the moment is the one I am currently reading. I can though identify one book that had the most significant impact in sparking my love of reading. The first time I read Johnny Tremain by Esther Hoskins Forbes it was like a whole new world opened up to me. Set during the Revolutionary War, this children's historical fiction classic brought American history to life for me as fourteen-year-old Johnny’s adventures during the American Revolution take him from the Boston Tea Party, to the ride of Paul Revere, to the first shots fired at Lexington. Along the way, he encounters many of our country’s founding fathers including John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Ben Franklin, and many others.
