Timothy Gould is a judge for Judicial District 19C of the North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division. He assumed office in 2021. His term ended in 2022.

Gould was appointed by Governor Roy Cooper (D) to the 19C Judicial District of the Fourth Division of the Superior Court on June 11, 2021, after his predecessor, Anna Mills Wagoner, retired due to age restrictions.[1]

The North Carolina Superior Courts are split into five divisions and 48 districts. Superior court judges rotate among the districts within their division every six months.[2] However, superior court judges are elected by voters in their district and must reside in the district in which they are elected.[3]

Education

Gould received his bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State and his J.D. from Duke University.[1][4]

Career

Prior to his tenure as a judge, Gould served as an assistant district attorney for the Rowan County District Attorney’s Office, the 25th prosecutorial district, and the Durham County District Attorney’s Office.[1]
