Van den Bergh ran for election to the Washtenaw County Probate Court.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 28.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Julia B. Owdziej, Jane A. Bassett, Tamara Garwood, and Constance L. Jones.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 45.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Julia B. Owdziej. [1][2] 

Education

Van den Bergh received bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from New York University and a J.D. degree from the Michigan State University College of Law.[3]

Career

Van den Bergh has been an attorney with the Legal Services of South Central Michigan (LSSCM) since 2008. Prior to that, she practiced with the law firm Bodman LLP.[3]
