South Dakota: The South Dakota Seventh Judicial Circuit is going to be dealing with a number of vacancies to the bench. John J. Delaney, who announced his intent to retire back in March, is stepping down from the bench. This vacancy comes after the prolonged vacancy that A.P. Fuller left when he was ordered to step down from the court following conduct charges brought up by the South Dakota Judicial Qualifications Commission. The court is also minus one Magistrate Judge after Mark F. Marshall stepped down following his second DUI conviction. Governor Dennis Daugaard is reviewing applicants for the vacant positions and many on the circuit hope the vacancies can be filled in short order. To that aim Governor Daugaard has appointed South Dakota First Judicial Circuit Bruce Anderson to the Judicial Qualifications Commission to fill the spot left vacant by Lori Wilbur who was recently promoted to the South Dakota Supreme Court.[1][2]
