Van Buren County Public Safety & Ambulance Levy Renewals, 2 (August 2010)

Two Van Buren County Levy Renewal measures were on the August 3, 2010 ballot in Van Buren County.

Both measures were approved

The Public Safety measure sought to renew the $.53 levy, per $1,000 of assessed property value, for an additional four years. The money generated from this levy will go towards additional police units as well as officer uniforms that are needed.

The Ambulance measure sought to renew the $.94 levy, per $1,000 of assessed property value, for a further five years. The money generated from this levy will go towards general operational costs of providing the services in the county.[1]
