A Vanderbeilt Area School District Sinking Fund Tax Levy proposal is on the May 7, 2013, election ballot in Charlevoix, Otsego and Cheboygan Counties, which are in Michigan.
If approved, this measure authorizes the Vanderbilt Area School District to increase its property tax levy by 0.75 mill ($0.75 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in order to create a sinking fund to provide for construction, repair and maintenance needs of the district.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Vanderbilt Area Schools, Otsego, Charlevoix and Cheboygan Counties, Michigan, be increased by and the board of education be authorized to levy not to exceed .75 mill ($0.75 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 4 years, 2013 to 2016, inclusive, to create a sinking fund for the construction or repair of school buildings and all other purposes authorized by law; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2013 is approximately $65,000?[1][2] | ” |
