Hugh Finson was a circuit judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. He joined the court on September 4, 2012, to fill the vacancy left by the death of Judge John P. Shonkwiler.[1] He was elected to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court in 2014.[2] Finson retired at the end of his term on December 6, 2020.[3]

Finson earned a B.A. in history from DePauw University in 1969 and a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1972.[1]
