E. Jeannette Ogden is a judge for the 4th Department of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division. She assumed office on November 29, 2022. Her current term ends on December 31, 2027.

Ogden is also a judge of the New York Supreme Court 8th Judicial District. Her current term ends on December 31, 2028.

Ogden ran for election to the Supreme Court, 8th District.
General: She faced incumbents Donna M. Siwek and Frederick J. Marshall, as well as John J. DelMonte, Dennis E. Ward, Paul B. Wojtaszek, Daniel J. Furlong and Mary Slisz in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 14.4 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for five open seats. [1] 

Education

Ogden received her B.S. degree from Buffalo State College in 1977 and her J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 1983.[2]

Career

Prior to serving on the Supreme Court, 8th District, Ogden was a judge of the Buffalo City Court. She was appointed to this position in June 1995 and was elected to a full term in November of that year. She was re-elected in 2005.[3] She also served as an acting judge for the county and family courts of Erie County, New York. She was appointed an acting judge of the county court in 2001 and of the family court in 2003.[2][4]

Ogden has also taught as an adjunct instructor at Buffalo State College from 1998 to 2001 and at S.U.N.Y. - Buffalo Law School since 1997.[2]
