James T. Swenson is a former Fourth Judicial District judge, who served the family court of Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was appointed in 1995 and re-elected in 1996, 2002, 2008, and 2014. He served as chief judge from July 2008 to May 2012.[1] Swenson retired on June 1, 2016.

Education

Swenson received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1972 and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1976.[1]
