A Coles County Sales Tax Addition measure was on the February 2 ballot in Coles County.
This measure was defeated
- YES 3,865 (43.8%)
- NO 4,966 (56.2%)
[1]
This measure sought to add an addition 1 percent to the current county sales tax in order to further help the county schools. That one percent would have been used exclusively for the maintenance of school facilities.[2]
