Lawrence C. Kenworthy is the judge for Division 3 of the Yuma County Superior Court in Arizona.[1] He was first elected to the court in 2007.[2] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on January 6, 2019.[3][4]

Kenworthy ran for re-election to the Yuma County Superior Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 26, 2014.
General: He defeated John Minore in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 55.4 percent of the vote. [4][5]

Kenworthy was re-elected to the Yuma County Superior Court after running unopposed.[6]

Education

Kenworthy earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in 1978 and his J.D. from the same school in 1981.[2]

Career

Prior to finishing his education, Kenworthy worked on the Alaska Pipeline. After graduating from law school, he returned to Alaska and began his legal career in a private law firm. Kenworthy was engaged in private practice until 1997, when he returned to Arizona and started working at the Yuma County Public Defender's Office. After that, he returned to private practice until he was appointed as a judge pro tempore in 2002 for the Yuma Municipal Court. He served that court until he was elected to the Yuma County Superior Court in 2007.[2]
