Campaign themes
2013
According to an article written in The Morning Call, Zimmerman focused his campaign on the changes that need to be made in the district. Zimmerman believed the system at the time was broken and the district needed to go through changes to provide the quality of education the students deserved and taxpayers could afford. He also thought the district needed to start focusing more on career preparation than test scores. Zimmerman said he has focused on financial stability and had not supported tax increases. He believed his involvement with an adolescent outpatient treatment program helped him understand students.[1]
