Brenda E. Oldham is the judge for Division 5 of the Pinal County Superior Court in Arizona.[1] She was first elected to the court in 2006.[2] She was retained on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on January 6, 2019.[3]

Oldham was retained to the Pinal County Superior Court with 74.8 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3] 

Evaluation

The Judicial Performance Review Commission provides Arizona voters with an evaluation of each judge up for retention. The commission votes on whether a candidate meets or does not meet the JPR standards. Each judge is assessed on their legal ability, integrity, communication skills, judicial temperament and administrative performance.[4]

The commission voted that Oldham met the JPR standards. The vote was 29-0 in favor of retention.[3]

2010

Oldham was re-elected after running unopposed.[2]

Education

Oldham graduated from Chandler High School in 1975. She earned her undergraduate degree in criminal justice in 1981 from Arizona State University. She earned her J.D. in 1986 from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.[1]

Career

Oldham served as a deputy county attorney in Pinal County. She worked as an attorney for Southern Arizona Legal Aid and was the principal shareholder of the Law Office of Brenda E. Oldham, P.C. In 2006 she was elected as a judge for the Pinal County Superior Court.[1]
