Charles Brown is a district court judge in the Second Judicial District of New Mexico.[1] He was appointed by Governor Bill Richardson in August 2007.[2] He was retained in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[3]

Brown was retained to the 2nd District Court with 73.1 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Judicial performance evaluation
The New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission recommended that Judge Brown be retained. The full report is available here.
Education
Brown received his undergraduate degree from Baker University and his J.D. from the University of New Mexico in 1985.[4]
Career
Brown has served as a deputy district attorney in the Thirteenth Judicial District, and an assistant U.S. attorney in Alaska. He's also worked in private practice.[2][5]
