A Schoolcraft County Jail Bond Measure was on the February 22, 2011 ballot in Schoolcraft County.

This measure was defeated

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $5.96 million in order to build a new jail for the county. Pressure had been building from outside to upgrade and build a new jail to meet upgraded standards. A millage of .92 mills would also have been implemented to help pay off the bond over a period of 20 years.[2]
