Maria Quinones-Sanchez (Democratic Party) was a member of the Philadelphia City Council in Pennsylvania, representing District 7. Quinones-Sanchez assumed office in 2008. Quinones-Sanchez left office on September 6, 2022.

Quinones-Sanchez (Democratic Party) ran for election for Mayor of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Quinones-Sanchez did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on May 16, 2023.

Quinones-Sanchez is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes serving as the regional director for the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA), executive director of ASPIRA, a Latino educational institution, and creating the first bilingual charter school in the state, the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community Charter School. She is a founding member of the Pennsylvania Statewide Latino Coalition.[1]

The city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A primary election took place on May 19, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was March 10, 2015. In the Democratic primary election for District 7, incumbent Maria Quinones-Sanchez defeated Manny Morales.[2] No Republican candidates filed to run for this seat.[3]
