Bruce Harkness Sr. was a Republican candidate in the November 8, 2011, special election for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 10. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when Rick Austin (R) resigned to run in the special election for District 50 of the Georgia State Senate.[1] Harkness was defeated in his bid.
Elections
2011
Harkness was defeated by Terry Rogers (R) in the November 8 special election. Lori Duke Jones (R) also ran. Since Rogers received a majority of the vote, a runoff election was not held. Party affiliation was listed, and all candidates appeared on the same ballot.[2][3]
