David A. Dickerson is the former acting Kentucky secretary of labor cabinet. Governor Matt Bevin (R) appointed Dickerson to the position effective June 12, 2018.[1] His term ended when Gov. Andy Beshear (D) took office on December 10, 2019.[2]
Biography
Dickerson previously served as secretary of the public protection cabinet from December 15, 2015, to June 11, 2018. Prior to joining the state government, Dickerson was a corporate officer in the Dickerson Lumber Company of Summer Shade, a family-owned business. He was a Barren County Judge-Executive from 1994 to 1999. Dickerson graduated from Western Kentucky University.[1]
