Dorothy Kellogg was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 5 of the South Dakota House of Representatives.
A former legislator, Kellogg is 92 years old and resides at an assisted living center. It was intended that she would only be on the ballot as a placeholder candidate and not actually run. However, her name remained on the ballot and Kellogg said she would consider serving if elected. "You know, when you're 92 you don't battle it. It's just the way it is. And I would love to go back. It's a place of good memories, few bad ones," she said.[1]
