Richard Walsh (Illinois)

Richard Walsh was a judge of the Cook Circuit of Illinois. He was elected in November of 1994. He served until his retirement in 2015.[1][2][3]

Education

Walsh received his J.D. degree from the DePaul University College of Law and his Masters of Judicial Studies from the University of Nevada.[1]

Career

Walsh has worked as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court, solo practitioner, staff attorney for the Federal Defender Program and Hearing Officer for the Illinois Racing Board. He joined the circuit court in 1994.[1]

2012 election

Walsh was retained on Nov. 6, 2012 with 75.4% of the vote.[4][5]
