Ayana Harris

Ayana Harris is a judge of the Miami-Dade County Court in Florida. Her current term ends on January 2, 2029.

Harris won re-election for judge of the Miami-Dade County Court in Florida outright in the general election on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

She was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to the court following the resignation of former judge Samuel J. Slom.[1]

Biography

Harris' professional experience includes working as the Assistant Public Defender in the Florida 11th Circuit Court. She obtained a B.A. from the University of Miami and a J.D. from Howard University.[1]
