Ballotpedia provides comprehensive election coverage of the 100 largest cities in America by population as well as mayoral, city council, and district attorney election coverage in state capitals outside of the 100 largest cities. This board member is outside of that coverage scope and does not receive scheduled updates.

Karen Nelson is the Precinct 5 representative on the Tooele County School Board in Utah. She was elected to the board after her predecessor, Matthew Lawrence anounced his resignation.[1]

Elections

2014

The November 4, 2014, general election in the Tooele County School District featured three seats up for election. In the Precinct 5 race, challengers Teresa McNeill and Matthew Lawrence faced off since incumbent Karen Nelson did not file for re-election. Lawrence won the open seat. In the Precinct 6 and 7 races, incumbents Carol Jensen and Alan Mouritsen were re-elected without opposition.
