Cathy Wright was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 10th Congressional District of New Jersey. She was a first-time candidate.[1][2] Wright lost in the primary.[3]
Wright said her lack of political experience was an advantage: "I think that’s what Washington needs, more real people — not career politicians."[2]

Wright is a sales support manager at AT&T. She attended Rutgers University-Livingston College.[1]
