The primary job of a school board member is to oversee the governance of a school district, ensuring that it operates effectively and meets the educational needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Development: School board members create and revise policies that guide the district's operations and educational programs.

Budget Approval: They review and approve the district's budget, allocating resources to various programs and initiatives.

Superintendent Oversight: Board members hire and evaluate the superintendent, who manages the day-to-day operations of the district.

Community Engagement: They serve as a bridge between the community and the school district, gathering input from parents, teachers, and residents.

Advocacy for Education: Board members advocate for the needs of students and the district at local, state, and federal levels.

School board members typically serve fixed terms and are elected by the community.
Their decisions can significantly impact educational quality, funding, and school policies.

The effectiveness of a school board can vary based on its members' commitment, collaboration, and understanding of educational issues.
Being a Security Native for 67 Years, I know my Community Very Well. And they know and trust me! They all trusted me when I coached their children, and I am forever Honored for that, and I know my people still trust me with Highest Regards again with their Children.
