I am a proud single mom and lifelong member of this community. I attended Webster, Janitell, and graduated from Widefield High School before earning my bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. After returning home, I raised three amazing children who all graduated from Mesa Ridge High School.

Professionally, I have held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, focusing on adult education and advocating for community members in need of medical care and education.

In my free time, I volunteer with Project Angel Heart, delivering meals to communities across the region. I also serve on boards that support women with financial assistance and participate in the Safety Net Collaboration, partnering with free and charitable clinics statewide.

Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy the outdoors, cheering on my kids at athletic competitions, and spending time with my dog, Leia.
  • Kids come first, and student achievement must be our priority. I believe in building a true community—a village—where we all share responsibility for ensuring our neighborhood children have the best opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. When we come together to support our kids, our entire community thrives.
  • Kids must always come first, and student achievement must be our priority. To make that happen, we must recruit, retain, and support excellent teachers. I will advocate for competitive pay, mentorship programs, and supportive work environments to keep our best teachers in the district. I will work to ensure every teacher has the supplies, curriculum, and technology they need, along with training to reach every child. Supporting teachers means listening to them, respecting their expertise, and giving them the tools to succeed—because when teachers thrive, students thrive, and our whole community benefits.
  • When kids thrive, our whole community thrives. Supporting and retaining great teachers is the key to student success and a stronger future. By investing in our children—through well-resourced classrooms, quality instruction, and teacher support—we create schools families want to be part of. Strong schools not only prepare students for success but also strengthen neighborhoods, increase home values, and attract more families who want to share in what makes our community great.
I am passionate about student achievement. The goal of our school district should be to support the education, growth, and success of all learners—whether they plan to attend college, pursue a trade, or enter the workforce. Every student should have access to the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive beyond high school. By preparing students for multiple paths to success, we ensure they graduate ready to contribute to their communities and build meaningful futures.
I believe that honesty, integrity, and transparency are essential qualities for elected officials. These principles ensure that every decision truly reflects the needs and priorities of the community
Elected officials represent the community, set policy and vision, and ensure public resources are used wisely. They hire and evaluate key leaders, like a superintendent, and hold them accountable for results. They adopt budgets, monitor progress toward goals, and make decisions that serve all constituents fairly. Finally, they engage the community through open communication, transparency, and collaboration to build trust and strengthen the public good.
I hope to leave a legacy of compassion and empathy. There are many injustices in the world, and I have devoted my time to helping those who cannot advocate for themselves. For years, I have been passionate about ensuring that every child I come in contact with, has access to the food they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
There are several unforgettable moments in my life, but one historical event we all remember is 9/11. The world seemed to stop — we grieved together, prayed together, and for a moment, political noise faded away. I was in my early 30s, pregnant with my second child, and I can still recall the deep anxiety of bringing a new life into the world during such an uncertain time
My very first professional job was at Bank One, where I worked as a Loan Administrator. I assembled small loan packages and processed payments, which taught me attention to detail and the importance of supporting customers through every step of the process. I had that job for about a year and a half.
The primary role of a school board member is to represent the community by setting the vision and policies for the district, ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality education. School board members hire and evaluate the superintendent, approve budgets, and make decisions that guide curriculum, resources, and priorities. Their focus is on student achievement, fiscal responsibility, and engaging the community to build trust and support for the schools.
Everyone in the school district is a Board of Education constituent — students, parents, teachers, and all community members. School board decisions affect education quality, safety, and how tax dollars are spent, so every vote helps shape the future of our schools and community
Serving the diverse needs of students, teachers, and the community means listening carefully, acting inclusively, and making decisions that balance everyone’s interests.

Every student should have access to access to high quality opportunities. Every student should be seen and heard and we should highlight resources available in an effort to cut back on bullying in the schools so that every student feels safe.

Faculty and Teachers should have a say and have access to the professional development training and tools to succeed in the classroom. We should advocate for competitive wages to benefit and attract more teachers.

There should be fiscal transparency and invites to the community to share data. We should be inviting in more community mentors and partners.
While some district policies may need review, no major changes should be made without meaningful input from students, teachers, and parents. Community voices must guide the decisions that shape our schools.
An ideal learning environment is safe, inclusive, and inspiring — where every student feels valued, teachers are supported, and families are engaged, so all children can thrive and reach their full potential
AI is already part of our students’ lives, and we need to guide its use thoughtfully. Our goal is to help students use AI as a tool to support — not replace — their own work, while also empowering teachers to model responsible use and set healthy boundaries.
My proudest accomplishment is threefold — my children. I raised them right here in this community, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends. They thrived in District 3, had incredible teachers, and still stay in touch with many of them to this day. My oldest achieved a Doctoral Degree, My middle daughter is completing her second Masters and played Collegiate Rugby and my son is a Collegiate Athlete in Denver.
