|Professionally, I have held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, focusing on adult education and advocating for community members in need of medical care and education.
In my free time, I volunteer with Project Angel Heart, delivering meals to communities across the region. I also serve on boards that support women with financial assistance and participate in the Safety Net Collaboration, partnering with free and charitable clinics statewide.
Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy the outdoors, cheering on my kids at athletic competitions, and spending time with my dog, Leia.- Kids come first, and student achievement must be our priority. I believe in building a true community—a village—where we all share responsibility for ensuring our neighborhood children have the best opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. When we come together to support our kids, our entire community thrives.
- Kids must always come first, and student achievement must be our priority. To make that happen, we must recruit, retain, and support excellent teachers. I will advocate for competitive pay, mentorship programs, and supportive work environments to keep our best teachers in the district. I will work to ensure every teacher has the supplies, curriculum, and technology they need, along with training to reach every child. Supporting teachers means listening to them, respecting their expertise, and giving them the tools to succeed—because when teachers thrive, students thrive, and our whole community benefits.
- When kids thrive, our whole community thrives. Supporting and retaining great teachers is the key to student success and a stronger future. By investing in our children—through well-resourced classrooms, quality instruction, and teacher support—we create schools families want to be part of. Strong schools not only prepare students for success but also strengthen neighborhoods, increase home values, and attract more families who want to share in what makes our community great.
Every student should have access to access to high quality opportunities. Every student should be seen and heard and we should highlight resources available in an effort to cut back on bullying in the schools so that every student feels safe.
Faculty and Teachers should have a say and have access to the professional development training and tools to succeed in the classroom. We should advocate for competitive wages to benefit and attract more teachers.
