Tom Tate
Tom Tate was a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board from 2005 to 2017.
Biography
Tate came to Charlotte in 1988, when he became pastor of Plaza Presbyterian Church. He is a graduate of Princeton University and received his doctor of ministry degree from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. He has served as co-chair of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Interfaith Advisory Council. Tom has two daughters, both graduates of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. He chairs the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Policy Committee and is a liaison to the Planning Coordinating Committee.[1]

Funding
Tate reported $1,154.85 in contributions and $216.89 in expenditures to the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections, which left his campaign with $937.96 on hand.[2]
