Campaign themes

2014

In an article with the Albuquerque Journal, Hawkes said he ran for the following reasons:[1]

  • Excerpt: "I am running for state representative, Democrat, District 49 because a fascist police state is being built on the bogus 9/11 event and all the politicians and media are hiding the truth from the public. I want to be in the information loop so that I can help protect my constituents and defend the America I believe in. I am a dishwasher. Your fight is my fight too. I will fight public-private partnerships (fascism), oppose the San Augustin plains ranch water grab, and solve the overcrowding of our jails by legalizing marijuana and releasing all the potheads from jail."
