Edmund H. Kase III was a judge for the Seventh Judicial District of New Mexico.[1] Kase was appointed to the court in 1971 by former Governor Bruce King.[2] Kase was retained in 2008.[3] He retired from the court in July 2014.

Kase, at the time of his retirement, was the state's longest-serving state judge.[4]

Education

Kase received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1959.[2]

Career

Prior to taking the bench, Kase spent part of his career in the private practice of law and also served as an assistant district attorney from 1965 to 1968.[2]
