Maureen Ward Kirby
Maureen Ward Kirby is a judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She assumed office in 2007. Her current term ends on December 7, 2026.
Kirby ran for re-election for judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.
Education
Kirby earned a B.A. from Boston College in 1986, going on to receive her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago in 1989.[1]
Career
Prior to her judicial appointment in 2007, Kirby was a member of Bell, Boyd & Lloyd's Litigation Group. She joined the firm in 1988, became an associate in 1989 and became a partner in 1996. She also worked as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge James H. Alesia.[1]
