Education

Kirby earned a B.A. from Boston College in 1986, going on to receive her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago in 1989.[1]

Career

Prior to her judicial appointment in 2007, Kirby was a member of Bell, Boyd & Lloyd's Litigation Group. She joined the firm in 1988, became an associate in 1989 and became a partner in 1996. She also worked as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge James H. Alesia.[1]
