Cal Dunlap was a candidate for Department 9 judge on the Second Judicial District Court in Nevada.
Education
Dunlap received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada-Reno. He earned his J.D. from the University of Santa Clara.[1]
Career
After law school, Dunlap worked as a law clerk for Judge Emile Gezelin in Department 5 of the Second Judicial District Court. He served as a Deputy District Attorney following his clerkship, and later as Assistant District Attorney. Dunlap was then elected to serve as the Washoe County District Attorney.[1]
Elections
2012 election
Dunlap ran for Department 9 judge on the Nevada Second Judicial District Court. He was defeated by incumbent Judge Scott N. Freeman in the general election on November 6, earning 46.98 percent of the vote.[2]
