E. Joseph Bleich was an associate justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court and a judge for Louisiana's 1st Judicial District.[1][2]

On October 1, 2020, the Louisiana Supreme Court appointed Bleich as judge pro tempore to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Felicia Toney Williams. He served until Milton Moore assumed office on October 7, 2020.[3][4]

Education

Judge Bleich earned a bachelor's degree at Louisiana Tech University and went on to earn a J.D. at Louisiana State University Law School in 1973.[5]

Career

Judge Bleich founded law firm Bleich & Bleich in 1997, prior to which he served as an associate justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court for District 4. Before joining the supreme court, Bleich served as first assistant district attorney for the 3rd Judicial District.[5]
