John Michael Allegretti (Democratic Party) is a judge for the 4th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He assumed office on December 1, 2014. His current term ends on December 7, 2026.

Allegretti ran for re-election for the 4th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.

Education

Allegretti received a B.A. from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL.[1]

Career

Prior to his election to the court, Allegretti served as general counsel to the Cook County Treasurer. He has previously served as a hearing officer for the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, an assistant state's attorney in Cook County, and general counsel to the Cook County Assessor. He has also worked in private practice.[2]
