Daniel Viramontes was a judge of the Sixth Judicial District Court in New Mexico. He was appointed by Governor Bill Richardson in August 2007.[1] Viramontes retired on August 26, 2016.[2]

Education

Viramontes received a B.S. from New Mexico State University in 1978, and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico Law School in 1984.[1]

Career

Previously to becoming a judge, Viramontes served as a chief deputy district attorney. He has also worked in private practice.[1]

Elections

2014

Viramontes was retained to the 6th District Court with 74.1 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
