William F. Stone, Jr. was the chief judge for the Western District of Virginia Bankruptcy Court. He was appointed to the bench on July 23, 1999, and later elevated to the position of chief judge on August 1, 2011. He retired on January 1, 2014, and was succeeded by Paul M. Black.[1][2][3][4][5]

Education

Judge Stone earned his bachelor's degree and his J.D. at Washington & Lee University.[6]
