Denise Albano is a former Hawaii commissioner of agriculture. Gov. David Ige (D) appointed Albano on January 16, 2019.[1] Albano resigned on January 29, 2019, for personal reasons.[2]

Albano served as the water director in the Department of Agriculture from 2016 to 2019. She was president and co-founder of the Feed the Hunger Foundation in San Francisco, California. She also previously managed the Capital Campaign at The Nature Conservancy Hawai‘i; served as executive director of the YMCA, Richmond district, San Francisco; served as executive director Project YES/Youth Uprising in Oakland, California; and served as family support senior program officer for the San Francisco Children and Families Commission.[1]
