Donna Bahorich (Republican Party) was a member of the Texas State Board of Education, representing District 6. Bahorich assumed office in 2013. Bahorich left office on January 1, 2021.

Biography

Prior to her election to the board, Bahorich served as a staffer for then-state Sen. Dan Patrick (R) after managing his first campaign to the chamber in 2005. Before that, Bahorich had worked in telecommunications at the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company and Mountain Bell.[1]

Political career

Texas State Board of Education (2013-2021)

Bahorich was first elected to the board in November 2012 and took office in January 2013. She was re-elected in 2016. On June 18, 2015, Bahorich was appointed to a two-year term as chairwoman of the board by Gov. Greg Abbott (R). Abbott appointed Bahorich to a second term as chairwoman on January 24, 2017.[1] She did not seek re-election in 2020.
