The terms of incumbents Mary Nichols and Lucie Stanish ended after this election. Due to term limits, neither incumbent could seek re-election, ensuring two newcomers would join the board.[2] Candidates Richard Boorom, Robert Reichardt, and James Stephens ran for the seats.[3] Reichardt and Stephens defeated Boorom.
