Stephen Balogh is an associate judge on the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He was appointed by the circuit judges of the 17th Judicial Circuit in October 2016 to succeed Judge John R. Truitt. Balogh was sworn-in on November 7, 2016.[1]
Biography
Balogh served in the United States Marine Corps from 1977 until January 1980. He completed undergraduate studies in sociology at University of Maryland University College in 1983, graduating summa cum laude.[2]
Balogh graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1987 and worked as a parter at Williams McCarthy LLP from 1987 until late 2016, when he was appointed to the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois as an associate judge.[2]
