As a risk manager, I know what it means to navigate difficult situations; I ask hard questions, face the facts and make tough calls. I will bring this same approach to the school board. With this experience, I can provide financial discipline leadership to ensure a return on our investment in education. It is important we have stable funding and are responsible with taxpayer money. I care deeply about our schools, and am committed to advocate for the needs of our kids, teachers, and families. I have the experience, relationships and commitment needed to make our schools a place where every student is able to thrive. I will be a representative who is transparent and accountable to the community. That means being available to answer questions, listen to the needs of constituents and explain where I stand on the issues –even (and especially) if we don’t agree.
- Lower student-to-staff ratios and expanded curricular choices for high-school students.
- A culture of listening and learning; especially ensuring that a variety of perspectives (including those who have been traditionally marginalized) are given a chance to speak – and are really heard.
- Open communication, with authentic transparency and information sharing.
